About The Author:



Rajesh Talwar is a lawyer by profession. In addition to practicing law, he has simultaneously taught law to LL.B students at Delhi University and Jamia Millia Islamia over a period of six years. In 1996, he went to the UK on a British Chevening scholarship, where he completed his LL.M in International Human Rights Law from the University of Nottingham. 


He has provided legal advice to the United Nations in Kosovo, Somalia, Liberia and Afghanistan. At present he is based in Pristina, where he works for the United Nations Mission in Kosovo, as Executive Officer heading the Secretariat to the Human Rights Advisory Panel.


He has written extensively on legal and general subjects for various newspapers, magazines and journals and has authored several books including The Judiciary on Trial (1996), How to Choose Your Lawyer (1998), The Third Sex and Human Rights (1999), The Divorce Handbook (1999) and Indian Laws of E-Business (2001). A chief focus of his writing has been to demystify the law and make it comprehensible to the average citizen.
