A story from the Balinese legend on how Bali and Java came to be separated.


Once upon a time there was a great Brahmana (holy man) named Sidi Mantra. He has a son, named Manik Angkeran, who loves to gambling, and caused lots of debts and troubles. Then Sidi Mantra ask the dragon under the mountain, Naga Besukih, to help his son and give him some wealth to help his son. 


But it seems money cannot fix the problem of a miseducated character from Manik Angkeran. He still gambling and get lost again and again. Then Manik Angkeran inisiate himself to meet the dragon under the mountain, regarding the fact that his father won’t help him anymore.


This story teach a lesson for parents, however much they loves their children, parents should not spoiled them too much.
