A month after the Battle of Arastille, Atticus has returned to hero's welcome on Niatheo, along with unforeseen duties and responsibilities. Despite the fact that they have a child on the way, Atticus and Nariel must keep their relationship a secret for now, or risk compromising the objectivity of their peace mission. There's nothing sexier than a forbidden love, but the novelty of secrecy is starting to wear off for the two of them, both counting down the days till they can marry.
