This book represents a study of the people called Negritos, who lived in the Zambales province, stretching along the western coast of Luzon. The study is based on two months’ field work, from May to June, 1903.

The Negritos of Zambales, known as Aeta, are native people, who live scattered in the isolated mountainous parts of Luzon, Philippines. They were referred to as Negritos during the Spanish Era, as several other groups of people. These people have darker skin that can range from dark brown to very dark brown. They have curly hair that was naturally lighter, in most cases. They had a small nose and dark brown eyes.
