Palaces of Bucharest

Named at one time, and for a good reason, Little Paris, Bucharest has surprised all pilgrims who came to visit it, especially through the eclectic architecture, of French influence, of many of its edifices. Amongst these were the distinguished palaces built at the end of XIXth century by the French architects who had arrived in these regions. In a capital that hardly kept any relics of the past (we have in mind the princely palaces that suffered numerous vicissitudes over time), the image of some residences of European standard, magnificently decorated, and where receptions and balls had been organised, that remained in the memories at that time- could surprise the foreign pilgrims, for whom this place represented at most the spirit of the Orient.
