Descripción editorial

The principal issues in this divorce case are the common ones associated with such cases: the extent, the valuation, and the division of the marital estate; the awards of alimony, child support, and attorneys' fees. A case of uncommon hostility and violence, however, produced some uncommon issues on appeal: the right of one of the parties to represent himself; whether wife's counsel should have been disqualified from continuing to represent her; whether Rule 11 sanctions against one party were proper (or adequate); and whether the court should have granted a new trial on the basis of newly discovered evidence. We affirm with one minor modification. I.
