Lassa Francis Lawrence Oppenheim was a renowned German jurist. He is regarded by many as the father of the discipline of international law. Born in Windecken near Frankfurt, Germany and educated at the Universities of Berlin, Göttingen, Heidelberg and Leipzig, he went to England in 1895 and lived there until his death. In this book the reader is presented with a study the conflict between Great Britain and the United States of America over Panama Canal.
