As the pair navigate their professional and personal relationships, Perdie also tries to help her best friend, Lucille, resolve her own romantic quandary. There's perhaps a disproportionate focus on Perdie and Carter's intense sexual chemistry, which comes at the expense of delving more deeply into Perdie's history of insecurities and giving Carter a flaw or two to flesh out his white knight façade. Still, the sex scenes are steamy and the comedic elements are often laugh-out-loud funny. Wynn is sure to win some fans.
