A jury convicted appellant Luis Rivera IV of injury to a child, a first degree felony.*fn1 The trial court sentenced him to forty years confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The trial court has certified that this is not a plea-bargain case, and Rivera has a right to appeal. See Tex. R. App. P. 25.2(a)(2). This appeal ensued. We affirm.
