Scullery is a mystery tale written as a tribute to The Gold-Bug by Edgar Allen Poe. An urban fantasy about a Mr. Simone, who searches the farm of Ellis Forrester, who stands accused of corruption, extortion and kidnapping of three local mobsters. According to the mayor, they came for his mysterious golden goat, and Mr. Simone meets the creature on the farm. Slowly he puzzles the pieces together and in the end he can verify the claim made by the mayor. It is indeed what the industry calls a golden goat. The book contains 7,182 words and every detail is a clue to the riddle. The cover was originally a pencil drawing.
