Descripción editorial

The Red Hat Society is a world wide organization of women over 50 years old who wear red hats and purple outfits and just want to have fun. Most of these groups also have a mascot.
Sassy is an adorable purple and silver toy dog that was found at a yard sale and becomes a mascot of "Sassy REDs (Real Elegant Dames), a registered Red Hat Society group in Peace River, Alberta. The ladies love her and it becomes a contest of what will happen to her.
Sassy has lots of fun, but there are a few not nice things that happen to her too. She travels to other towns and attends lots of Red Hat functions, wears a seat belt while travelling, gets tossed in the trunk of a car, drinks a little too much wine, gets attacked by a cat, falls in love with a singing dog, celebrates two of her birthdays with a cake and gifts, goes shopping in stores, rides the Heart and Stroke Foundation bike, wins an Olympic medal and even gets kidnapped.
This book is the fun things that the Red Hatters do, through the eyes of Sassy, a purple and silver stuffed dog.
