“What happened in his life?”
Tell me the story #01
The concept:
I am bored. Every story you read is always the same version of that story, every time you read it. I want the reader to become the main storyteller, and me, the author, to act as a middleman between the creation of the narrative space where the story happens, and the moment where you, the storyteller, tell the story you imagine.
So I created the book series: “Tell me the story”.
“Tell me the story” is a series of stories that focus on the storyteller's own imagination, improvisation, skill to interpret each drawing and his/her ability to connect each illustration of each drawing together with the overall story. It's the classic picture book concept, but not only for children and without a specific story in mind from the author´s side. Freedom to the reader - the storyteller.
The story should never be “read” alone, but told to another person. You will quickly find, that every storyteller imagine his/her own and unique version of the story.
Each story is created in one session without breaks.
I never “undo” a line.
I never have an idea of what I draw before drawing. I let my hand surprise me.
There is no right or wrong answers as to what a drawing might illustrate or what the morale of each story is.
