1 Appeal is taken from a jury verdict awarding plaintiff $6,400 actual and $17,900 punitive damages against defendant oil company which had refused to release four oil and gas leases. Suit was for slander of title. Defendant procured leases while land was being partitioned from a cotenant who was outbid by plaintiff at auction.
