A Son I Never Had

Just before he fell asleep, his adult son called to wish him a happy birthday. He told his wife about the call. When he woke up, the world around him had changed. Nobody else remembered his son. Instead, even his wife believed the young girls living in his home were his daughters. As reality warped around him, he feared for his sanity. Then his son called to ask if anything had changed.
