Descripción editorial
In Ann, 5th reader, the digraph “an” is introduced. The child becomes aware, as in the previous reader Ed, that many new words can be created by placing a consonant in front of a digraph. It also helps the child to recognize the digraph or trigraph following the consonant. The child begins to recognize if a word begins with one or two consonants, if it has one or two vowels, or if it has a silent letter. After the child sees and hears a word two or three times, that word becomes recognizable for most children.
