Cosmic Maverick

Xemplar soldier by choice. Rebel by necessity. Traitor for love.

Cosmic joined the Xemplar military to honor her mother’s faith, only to find the institution rotting from within. In the Xemplar, you don’t retire—you die. So, she plays the part, climbing to the highest rank allowed for a woman while harboring a dangerous secret. But her carefully maintained facade cracks the moment Nico, the only man she’s ever loved, is arrested.

Trapped on a prison cruiser bound for execution, Nico is praying for a miracle. Instead, he gets Cosmic. But the sweet girl he remembers is gone; in her place stands a ruthless Xemplar enforcer who holds his life in her hands. He’s doomed… or so it seems.

When Cosmic’s secret efforts to expose the truth land her in the arena herself, accused of treason and facing a crowd thirsty for her blood, the roles reverse. Now, it is Nico who must mount a desperate rescue mission while Cosmic prays for a final miracle.

But will the cost be more than they can afford?
