The concept of single payer is a hot topic in America right now, especially when applied to health care. It has become a tense political topic yet understanding what the very basic concept means is necessary. When I was little I would find a quarter under my pillow when I lost a tooth. No, not from the tooth fairy, but from my mother (or father) which acted in the role of single payer!
