Descripción editorial

H.H. Munro, better known by the pen name Saki, was a prolific Scottish author of the Edwardian era, considered as the master of short stories and compared to O Henry and Dorothy Parker. He is best known for his witty, sometimes whimsical, often cynical and bizarre short stories -  most of his works satirised Edwardian society and culture.

“Esme” is one of the Munro’s short stories. A Baroness tells Clovis about a hyena that she and her friend Constance have encountered alone in the countryside during the hunting. Hyena has escaped from Lord Pabham's Park, and, as the readers will see, was very hungry…

The brilliant stories are characterized by pithiness and black humor, so you will certainly enjoy the writer masterpiece of H.H. Munro!
