Kaetlyn, is a fierce grizzly shifter who was rescued and adopted as a cub by a pack led by an alpha male wolf-shifter. Being the last of her kind and growing up under the thumb of an alpha with old, misogynistic beliefs made her turn her nose at the idea of having a mate. The mated pairs she knows have done little make her want to risk her independence.

But her bear has other thoughts. Particularly when it comes to a certain burly wolf shifter named Angus, who refuses to leave her alone.

Kaetlyn has other problems she needs to focus on besides the idiot following her around like a lost puppy. Their pack has been a mess since the arrival of their alpha female, and it's taking a toll on her bear's patience. Then someone takes advantage of the chaos and attacks the community, resulting in more new visitors, revelations, and chaos Kaetlyn isn't prepared for.
