In the Sun King’s Paris with Molière

Frank is visiting Paris … by himself – or almost, since he is staying with his Parisian aunt and uncle and his cousin Brigitte who accompanies him around the city. While having a stroll in  the Luxembourg Gardens the two children meet a strange man wearing a fancy dress: the gentleman is no less than the playwright Molière who offers to show them through the Sun King’s Paris in the seventeenth century. They thus discover  masterpieces of architecture such as the cathedral of Notre-Dame, the Sainte-Chapelle, the Conciergerie, the Tuileries, and the palace of Versailles. But there’s also time to wander through the marketplace of Les Halles, get some typical food in a tavern, see a medieval bridge that no longer exists, and have a look at the Louvre before it was a museum. And they even get a chance to watch a little bit of theater, their guide’s specialty.
