Lucky Shot is the prequel to Sure Shot—a Brooklyn Bruisers novel, and it’s a stand-alone short story.
If you haven’t read Sure Shot, it’s the perfect introduction. It could be considered a sort of prologue. If you have read Sure Shot, it’s the perfect bonus, an extra Bess and Mark fix.
In any case, it’s wonderful. It tells the story of how Bess and Mark met nine years ago, when they were both starting their respective careers in New York City. It’s sweet, funny and steamy.
I loved it very much. If you’ve read Sure Shot you will be very happy with it, and if you haven’t, I’m pretty sure you’ll want to read it as soon as possible.
