4th Annual PROPS Award Ceremony

Faculty and staff across Full Sail University's outstanding education teams got to break out their bodacious '80s lingo and love of all things John Hughes for one night last week as we celebrated the 4th Annual PROPS Award Ceremony in a throwback Thursday-style 1980s soiree.

This year's PROPS ceremony had a notable shift from the multi-night celebrations separating the seven schools across three different events to one single event.  The shift occurred after review of feedback from past PROPS events and also from the Employee Recognition Survey sent out earlier this spring. Dave Franko announced at the beginning of the ceremony, "Over the past year we have recognized the importance of working and partnering together as one integrated knowledge community.  In the spirit of togetherness, we celebrate with education untied... One Night, One Education, One PROPS!"

This truly outrageous party recognized the exceptional efforts of employees in Education for supporting Full Sail students' dreams, as well as their generosity to fellow faculty and staff members, remarkable innovations, and synergistic commitment to the university.

Nominees were chosen after ranking within the top 10% of their department out of the number of PROPS submitted in 2016. Similarly, select recipients in the top 10% also received additional distinction for accumulating the most PROPS in categories represented by Full Sail Guiding Principles (Supporting the Student, Embody the Spirit of Innovation, Give Back to Others, and Learn & Grow Always), as well as in the overarching award tiers for Pilot, Co-Pilot, and Navigator.
