A very short sentimental piece looking at life from a statue's point of view. This piece charts the statue's purchase in Bali in 1945 to the present day and how it longs to be back in the forest on Sulawesi. In this, it charts a family across this time from the father looking to escape the horrors of war to the son who wonders about the striking, wooden statue left on the mantel piece when his mother passes away.
