Afghan Parade: V-Stitch Shell ePattern

A beautiful fan shape is the repeated pattern when crocheting multiple V-stitch rows. Use of the V-stitch in rows, creates an open effect while the afghan maintains its warmth for those cool nights ahead. Rows of the fanned V-stitch alternate with rows of chain stitches giving the afghan a striped effect even when using a solid color. For a bolder striped effect, use a contrasting color to the rows of chain stitches. The crocheted V-Stitch Shell afghan uses worsted weight yarn and crochet hook size J (6.0 mm); its finished size is approximately 48” x 73”.
