Endearing Leah Hart is naïve, to say the least when it comes to affairs of the heart, and she doesn’t even know what she’s missing. That is until on the first day of college, a cocky millionaire with rugged good looks and a playboy reputation changes everything. Austin Morgan doesn’t take himself too seriously and tries to break her out of her shell, but that isn’t the only thing he breaks after a lingering family secret is exposed. Then thanks to a sassy southern bell named Minnie, who pushes her to let loose, Leah catches the eye of a clean-cut law student, Ethan Williamson; a dimpled nice-guy, though haunted by his father’s unsolved murder, wants to finally move on from his obsession and focus on a serious relationship. But this warm, sunny, easygoing beach town isn’t quite the safe haven she’s always dreamt of since a masked serial rapist has been stalking the shore.
If love and life prevail, it’s never that simple as she soon finds out when she must revisit what she left behind over two years earlier.
