Christmas with Mrs. Worvill

Emma still believes in Santa Claus, contrary to everyone around her. On Thanksgiving she see's a shooting star and makes a wish. The next morning Mrs. Worvill appears in the next building. She is an odd person who always carries a carpet bag, which she calls Henrietta. Mrs. Worvill pays close attention to what all the children in the Newton Houses do.
On Christmas Eve, Emma's mother is called to work and Mrs. Worvill is employed to babysit. She arrives dressed in bright Christmas cheer. When they're alone, wonderful things begin to happen...Henrietta's true identity is revealed; they bake cookies without preparation; a fire starts in a picture fireplace; Santa Claus visits and Emma gets to meet his reindeer; Emma even get's to ride in his sleigh.
On Christmas morning, Emma presents wonderful gifts to her mother and some neighbors that only the magic of Christmas could bring. This is a memorable story on the true meaning of Christmas no child or aduld would soon forget. Emma learns Christmas is about bringing joy and happiness to those who have none.
