Publisher Description

Dive Wakatobi

A remote outpost fringed by the Banda and Flores Seas, the Wakatobi Dive Resort lies at the far-flung southeast tip of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. Nestled in the Tukang Besi archipelago, the resort indulges access to the waters and reefs of the famed coral triangle. These fringing coral reefs and atolls host one of our planet's richest marine biodiverse regions with 3000+ fish species and 750 coral species.

Wakatobi’s geography of sea mounts, miles of precipitous wall dives and jutting reef platforms present a wide spectrum of diving options. Pam and I have made 12 visits, including May/June 2022 once travel was possible again. Pam has spent over 1000 hours free-diving the house reef and Wayne has made 641 SCUBA dives at Wakatobi. We visited again in April 2023 and this version had been updated with some new images.

Dive Wakatobi has 330 pages of colour images and includes descriptions of 24 of the dive sites. A range of fish-eye, wide angle, portrait, macro and drone aerial images are provided.
