Dog Sisters

At the end of The Wind in His Heart Sadie Higgins was given the choice of going into Newford's Angel Outreach program or stay in jail.

She chose Newford and this is what happened to her there.

But Dog Sisters isn't so much a sequel to The Wind in His Heart as a coda that entwines with the story of Lola Soledad and her family of choice, navigating life as recovering addicts.

Lola is starting to get her life on track but everything changes when she finds the little lost dog Mijo and the edges of the world she knows peel back to reveal another world that is at once strange and dangerous and filled with wonder.

Charles de Lint is the modern master of urban fantasy. Folktale, myth, fairy tale, dreams, urban legend—all of it adds up to pure magic in de Lint's vivid, original world. No one does it better.
