The couple's relationship deteriorates as their respective stories unfold in alternating sections, tension and paranoia mounting in tandem. The characters' increasingly rash actions strain credulity, but abundant drama and escalating stakes rivet nevertheless. Fans of soapy domestic suspense will be well satisfied.
