His Last Bow

Consulting detective Sherlock Holmes and his colleague Doctor John Watson return in His Last Bow, the second-last Sherlock Holmes anthology published by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The adventures featured in this collection were written in the years before the First World War, except for the last story, “His Last Bow,” which details Holmes’ own experience during the conflict.

Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories have been adapted numerous times, including the 2009 and 2011 movies starring Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr., and the popular television shows Elementary, starring Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu, and the BBC’s Sherlock, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
