Jay's Jumping Jaw

Jay's Jumping Jaw teaches the "j" letter and sound as Jay's jaw jumps, juggles, jostles, jingles, and jiggles in the cold throughout the book as he tries out different winter sports. Have your children hold their jaw to feel it jump and jiggle as the /j/ sound is made. This is a great book for developing vocabulary and for learning the conjunction "but." Find letter "j"s at the beginning of words, and then use your hand to feel your jumping jaw when you say the word. This is also a great story for making up your own episode.
