Joseph S. Reynolds Papers, 1860–1865

Joseph Reynolds enlisted in the Union Army in October 1861 when he was 23 years old. He served in 17 battles and was part of Sherman's Army. He writes of his experiences in letters to his siblings. Of particular interest is his letter dated November 10, 1864, when he describes his life as part of the March to the Sea.
