A collection of qualitative research studies by 4 doctoral candidates in an Education and Library Leadership program at Sam Houston State University. The research focuses on increasing effective implementation of library programs for school and community college students.

Specific areas of study include 1) use of the library to build student connectedness; 2) activities to reduce student anxiety in the community college library setting; 3) solo middle school librarian activities to build social capital; and 4) high school principal perspectives on implementing an effective library program.

Qualitative methodologies represented in the collection include phenomenological, grounded theory, ethnographic, and collective case work.
