More Than Famous

A gripping novel about the rise and fall of the biggest folk-rock couple of the 1970s, and the mystery behind a breakup fans have never gotten over, from the New York Times bestselling author of Lilac Girls.

Jack Blake and Callie Burton have it all. Their songs top the charts, their love story is legendary, and they live between two musical worlds: funky, fun Martha's Vineyard and Laurel Canyon, where the music and the parties never end. Then, at the height of their fame, it's over with no explanation, leaving the world asking why.

Decades later, LA podcaster Jessie West is determined to find out. Her estranged father, Johnnie, was Jack's best friend and bass player, and his recent death has left her with questions she never got to ask him. When she convinces Jack and Callie to finally tell their sides on her podcast, they tell all, sharing a saga of love, betrayal, and survival that will alter Jessie's life forever.

More Than Famous asks what it really costs to live the rock and roll dream, and whether it's ever too late for a second chance.
