When a seventeen year old student is recruited by an elite tactical police taskforce it changes the life and attitude of that student forever. Luke Andrews was recruited as a part of a program designed to combat the sales and distribution of narcotics to teenagers. Luke enters the realm of undercover operations and intellegence gathering leaving him gasping for the air of a normal life. For the moment he is the best operational asset the Queensland Police Force holds. All was going well for Luke, he is given command of a team, to carry on the vital work Luke is trained to do. The catch is, they are all his age. This task force defies everything previously expected from the police and that is the beauty of it. New Defence follows the story of how this task force came to exist and what happens on their first case.
