The Early History of the Airplane

This small book features a collection of three articles written by the Wright Brothers between 1901 and 1913. The first article, "The Wright Brothers' Aeroplane," is an account of the brothers' childhood and early interest in flight through the Kitty Hawk years. The second article, penned by Orville, is a detailed account of the first successful flight on December 17, 1903. The final article in the book, written by Wilbur, is the earliest. Written in 1901, it predates the first flight and was composed when the brothers were still working with gliders.
