Judy’s search for the perfect flower — before it is endangered by deforestation, encroaching roads, houses and people — has taken her across the Pacific to remote islands, through mainland rainforests, to abandoned airfields and back to her own exquisite garden.


The book is a highly personal, beautifully rendered dedication to the wonders of nature, lovingly depicting 32 of the artist’s most treasured blooms in ink and watercolours. Each painting is the product of intensive work and painstaking effort, sometimes uniquely layering 15 applications of water colouring to obtain just the right nuance and shade.
