Oxygen is the new currency. Those who have it, survive. Those who don't, die.
Following a cataclysmic event, which killed over 99% of the world's living organisms, life on Earth nothing more than a hopeless struggle to survive. The planet is dying and only a handful of cities around the world remain. Humanity is on the brink of extinction.
Living in a rundown part of town of a once hyper-connected city, recovering drug addict, Kade Casey is a rider for hire. With fleeting memories of better times, Kade clings to a sliver of hope that one day he and his sick mother will be safe.
Kade's main employer, a ruthless dictator who controls the city, has a new assignment for him - deliver a mysterious package of great value to a neighbouring city. The payment is ten times the amount of any previous job. A tempting offer, but Kade assesses the risks. Along the way are endless dangers from lawless bands of scavengers, environmental hazards, equipment failure, and overcoming physical limitations.
When Kade refuses the job, he is beaten and his mother's life is threatened. On the run, a bounty is placed on his head by a vengeful criminal mastermind, the whereabouts of a mysterious package may be the only thing keeping him alive.
The Rider is a pulse-pounding cyberpunk thriller set in a futuristic world. The story of an unlikely hero destined to restore hope in humanity, but first he must restore it within himself.

Not that bad not that good something between
Being honest this book was actually something interesting but the story was kinda flat(?) like something is missing, some emotions and deeper meaning I didn’t felt connected in any way with characters. I have to admit that book is friendly to read (good to read, no misunderstands, story goes on) and interesting. The first scene like from Bladerunner 2049 (I imagined it like that) is inspiring but the love story (if we can name it like this) and overall story is missing something definitely (can’t really tell what)
**SPOILER**
The moment when the girl (don’t remember the name, read it like month ago) left the Man in this garage thing and he „killed” himself with taser she left him was really memorable, hit me hard and this thing he left this world (really want to remember this quote but can’t right now, anyways hit me). Then the memories... this moment in the book was really good.
**END OF SPOILER**
I think overall book had more potential to do with and could be really better That’s why I give 3 Stars, just my honest opinion.
**(also sorry for any grammar or any other mistakes in my typing, I’m from Poland and I’m still learning so)
