Women's Suffrage

Inez Milholland sat on her white horse under the overcast sky, looking at the scene before her. It was almost impossible for her to have imagined that something as wonderful as this should be happening in front of her very eyes. Here she was, a female lawyer in Washington D.C., and it was the day before the Presidential Inauguration. Together with her there were over 5,000 women who had come from far and wide to show their support for her cause. The date was March 3, and Inez Milholland was about to lead the Woman Suffrage Parade of 1913.
