Love is such a beautiful thing that everyone needs to have it. Unfortunately, very few of us want to give it. And fewer still even know the real meaning of true love. Love is indefinable, really, because it is so vast. Even though we were created in love, by love and for love by God, it is sad that we are not living in love.
Love is an emotion, and you have to feel it for yourself to know what true love means. The dictionary will give you examples of love. The elders will tell you about love, but it will be based on their own encounters with love. Love has to be in your heart - not in your head. Love has no boundaries, so you can never say you know all about love. The more you find love, the more it grows.
The fact that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, makes us unable to have the agape love. Only God's love is true and pure. We do not have to ask for it; he has given us love from the beginning. We should be forever grateful and thankful, for the love of God is always with us.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 136:1, "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever." (NIV). God is always teaching and telling us how to love and to live in love, for he is a loving God. Psalm 133:1 says, "Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity." He even commanded us to love our neighbors as ourselves. We do not even love our own families, or ourselves, much less to think of loving our neighbors. Instead we grudge them for their big houses and fine cars and better jobs. Search your hearts, you are blessed, give thanks and love to God.
