Abbee Finds a Way

Abbee is a worker bee who finds flowers and collects pollen to make honey. She is good at her job, but she has one problem: Her wings don't buzz like other bees, so she can't communicate with them. Abbee and her friend, Gabbee, go out to find flowers, but Gabbee gets into a sticky situation. Abbee must go back to her hive for help. But how can she tell the other bees how to save Gabbee? Guess what? Abbee finds a way.

This book shows how bees -- or people -- who are different can be valuable, even heroic, members of their community. It teaches readers not to judge people by what they look like or how they sound. It also includes a few activities such as mazes for readers to help Abbee.
