This case presents the issue of whether a union's financing of a legal challenge to the employer's affirmative action program violates the union's duty to represent fairly all of its members. The trial court held that petitioners had failed to establish a breach of the union's duty of fair representation. The Court of Appeals affirmed. Allen v. Seattle Police Officers' Guild, 32 Wash. App. 56, 645 P.2d 1113 (1982). We affirm.
