[119 A.D.2d 564 Page 564] In an action to recover damages for medical malpractice, (1) the defendant the Brooklyn Hospital appeals from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Vaccaro, J.), dated November 1, 1984, as granted the plaintiff's cross motion for leave to serve an amended complaint only to the extent of permitting her to allege a cause of action based on negligent hiring, on the condition that she submit to a physical examination, and (2) the plaintiff cross-appeals from so much of the same order as granted the defendants' motion for summary judgment dismissing the complaint as against both defendants on the ground that it was barred by the Statute of Limitations.
