Ghosts in the Ground

The land remembers what people try to forget.

When a corporate executive is found dead inside a groundwater pump house at Beaver Dam Flats/Refinery Park, Detective Margie Patenaude expects a difficult case. She does not expect a case tied to one of Calgary's most disputed landscapes.

With Detective Gagnon at her side, Margie follows a trail of fractured testimony, old documents, and unresolved community history. Every lead points backward. Every answer opens a deeper question.

In a place where entire streets vanished and trust never fully returned, this homicide is about more than one death.
