Gloria Vereb v. Unemployment Compensation

Gloria Vereb (Claimant) appeals from an order of the Unemployment Compensation Board of Review (Board), which denied benefits. The Boards order had vacated a referees dismissal of Spar Marketing Services, Inc.s (Employer) appeal from a decision awarding Claimant benefits by the Office of Employment Security (OES). The referees decision to dismiss Employers appeal was not based on the merits, but rather, on his determination that Employer had failed to file a timely appeal under Section 501(e) of the Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation Law (Law).
