Husband, Stavros P. Economou, and wife, Dea Economou, divorced after a 13-year marriage which produced 2 sons. The dissolution of the couples marriage involved a truly staggering amount of community property, and the care and custody of the two minor children. Wife made numerous discovery requests in an effort to determine the amount of community assets held by husband in California, Georgia and husbands native Greece. Husband failed to provide any information, despite several court orders directing him to comply with wifes requests. Because of husbands continual failure to provide any information, the trial court entered husbands default on every issue in the case except dissolution, child custody, and child visitation. In addition, because of evidence that husband had absconded to Greece with millions in community property, the court appointed a receiver to marshal community assets. Following a four-day court trial, the trial court issued judgment on bifurcated issues (regarding community property located in Georgia). The court also issued a final judgment and order on child custody, visitation and support, spousal support, and the distribution of community property. Husband appeals from the final judgment and the
