appeal is from the judgment of the district court, which on
appeal from the probate court heard and denied the claim. The record discloses that Louise Towne, an elderly spinster,
who owned her home in Lawrence, where she resided, died testate
September 15, 1949. Her will was duly probated and the executor
named therein was appointed. The inventory of her estate listed
property appraised at $13,521.05, which included her home,
appraised at $5,000 and the contents thereof at $418.46.
