The trial court dismissed appellants adoption petition, holding that she lacked standing to adopt her own child because she was "a former parent whose parent-child relationship with the child has been terminated by court decree." Tex. Fam. Code Ann. sec. 11.03(g)(1) (Vernon 1986).
