Last night Paul and Sian called time on their marriage. After dropping their youngest at uni, the thought of sharing a loveless empty nest was just too much. But this morning something else feels wrong. Maybe it's sleeping apart for the first time in twenty-four years. Maybe that second glass of wine hit harder than usual. Maybe this is just what an older body feels like … Except the mirror above the sink betrays a much stranger truth.
