'Both funny and unexpectedly emotional' Jill Mansell

Freaky Friday meets David Nicholls' Us.

*****

Last night Paul and Sian called time on their marriage. After dropping their youngest at uni, the thought of sharing a loveless empty nest was just too much. But this morning something else feels wrong. Maybe it's sleeping apart for the first time in twenty-four years. Maybe that second glass of wine hit harder than usual. Maybe this is just what an older body feels like … Except the mirror above the sink betrays a much stranger truth.

Inexplicably – impossibly – Paul and Sian appear to have switched bodies. And they're desperate to change back. After all it'll be next to impossible to keep this a secret from troubled kids, needy parents, work colleagues and friends, never mind having to wrangle their new body parts.

Reviews

'Intriguing, original and sooo entertaining. Not Quite Myself is both funny and unexpectedly emotional, and made me wonder for the first time in my life how it might feel if this kind of body swap were to happen to me' Jill Mansell

'Comedy gold. I loved Sian and Paul and would never have tired of reading about their adventures in each other’s bodies. Mike and Claire Gayle have absolutely nailed the dream we all have that our partner could really know what it’s like to be us' Clare Chambers

'Freaky Friday grows up' Natasha Poliszczuk
