Pennsylvania State Police V. Pennsylvania State Troopers Association

These matters involve the narrow certiorari scope of review, applicable to appeals from Act 111*fn1 grievance arbitration awards*fn2, as defined by this court's recent unanimous decision of Pennsylvania State Police v. Pennsylvania State Troopers Association (Betancourt), 656 A.2d 83 (Pa. 1995). For the reasons that follow, we decline the invitation of the Pennsylvania State Police to expand our Betancourt holding and therefore affirm the orders of the Commonwealth Court below.
